Southlands Toddlers Group
 

THE Southlands Parent and Toddler Group, which meets in the Youth & Community Centre on Wednesdays, from 10.00am to 11.45am, during term time, celebrated its second birthday towards the end of last year. It started in November 2006 (see picture above left) and has grown steadily ever since so it now attracts up to 64 parents and children.

At Southlands the youngsters can play with a huge range of toys, do some simple craftwork (see picture above right), and sing and play percussion instruments before going home.

Parents bringing toddlers to the group pay £1 per family per session and donate a banana, orange, or apple. These are cut up for children to enjoy later.
