Children on Sunday

OUR church programme includes opportunities for children and young people to learn something about our faith and what it means to be part of the church family.

wpe9.jpg (9637 bytes)Teaching in Young Church is both meaningful and topical and is given in three age groups – Primary & Beginners, Juniors, and Seniors – all meeting from 10.30am on a Sunday while the rest of the church family are worshipping in the church.

After about 45 minutes the Young Church joins the congregation in church and they share with everyone else something of what they have been doing.

Young Church and “older” church worship together on one Sunday each month when we have an All Age Worship Service. Every other month this is also a Parade service to which Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Cub Scouts are invited.

The Young Church leaders have decided to switch from Roots lesson materials to those produced by Scripture Union as early as possible this year after years of dissatisfaction with Roots and a feeling that the latest changes have made Roots even more remote and less user-friendly.
