THE Southlands Banner Group is holding a design competition for a new banner
for the church's Christmas Festival taking place over two weekends in December.
The design can be of any size as long as it will fit on a banner which will be
about 50in (130cm) long and gives a clear indication of the colours to be used.
It is planned to make the banner in time for use at the festival which will open
on December 9, so designs should be handed to Jean Harrison, Hilary Himsworth,
Joan Milner or Mary York by April 6.
The use of banners in services helps to inspire our worship
and the group is always on the look-out for new designs.
Dates for Banner Group meetings this month are Thursday, March 13, and Thursday, March 27, at 10.00am.
